This workshop is designed to help landowners lear more about invasive species in the Ely area, how they can strop the spread, and landowner assistance that is available in both Lake and St. Louis Counties. Featuring speakers from the Minnesota DNR, Superior National Forest, Ely Field Naturalists and North St. Louis & Lake SWCDs, this is an event you won’t want to miss!

- 10:00am – Welcome and Why Care About Invasive Species? – Tristan Nelson, North St. Louis SWCD
- 10:30am – Woody Invasive and Other Target Invasive Species – Nate Quadhammer, Lake County SWCD
- 11:00am – Best Practices for Treating Terrestrial Invasive Species – Jack Greenlee, Superior National Forest
- 11:30am – DNR Cost-Share & Native Plant Communities – Victoria Jari, Minnesota DNR
- 12:00pm – Lunch (Provided)
- 12:30pm – Aquatic Invasive Species and Reporting Methods- Liz Anderson, Lake County SWCD and Jon Utecht, North St. Louis SWCD
- 1:00pm – Outdoor Tour of Sites and Invasive Species ID – Bill Tefft, Ely Field Naturalists
