Lake Vermilion Fishing Report – West End
Some walleyes are still being caught on slip bobber rigs off of rocks and points, but that is slowing down. Now transitioning to open water humps and reefs. Depths will always vary on Lake V. according to fish-feeding patterns, types and source of food in that location. Don’t expect any 2 days to alike!
Crawlers are starting to turn on. Leeches are still working. Also try trolling with Rapalas along low-structure shorelines in 8-12 ft.
Northerns can be found in bulrushes, low-lying weeds and cabbages on bays and shorelines.
Sunnies are starting to move off their beds to slightly deeper water.
Good luck out there on the water!
