FLOOD RELIEF FOR COOK MINNESOTA RESIDENTS (Flooding on JUNE 18, 2024)

The Vermilion Lake Association and the Fire Brigade have contacted a couple of organizations in Cook to find an organization that would create a fund for residents of Cook due to the substantial flooding of local residents in town.  The Cook Lions Club is setting up a fund to accept donations for the residents assuring that the funds will go directly to residents that are in need of help after the flooding.  We are all members of this community and each organization feels that it is necessary to provide assistance at this time.  Your donation, no matter how much,  to help the residents is very important and will be much appreciated.

The Cook Lions club has an account set up at North Star Credit Union to receive donations. Checks payable to “Cook Lions Club” can be dropped off or mailed to: North Star Credit Union, 24 S River St., PO Box 1058, Cook MN 55723. Be sure to write “Flood support” on the notation line on your check.

Those wanting to make a donation online can use the PayPal service, which requires signing up for an account. Once you have an account you will be able to send your donation to cookmnlions@gmail.com. You can sign up for the service at www.paypal.com.

When making a donation to the local fire dept, write the check to the “Cook Fire Relief Association”. (Be sure to write “Flood support” on the notation line on your check.) Checks can be dropped off or mailed to The Cook Fire Department at 111 2nd Street Southeast, Cook, MN 55723.
