Lake Vermilion Fishing Report

What a crazy spring! The ice was out very late, yet it’s been one of the fastest warmups we’ve seen in a long time. Bobber fishing for me right now has been very good in 4 to 6 feet of water along rocky, protruding shorelines with small rocks going to larger boulders to deeper water. Just recently, rig fishing has started to work; fish are moving to summer locations indicating some of the first transitions off shorelines. Lindy rigs with leeches seem to be working well for me with 4 to 6-foot leaders. Have a great day on the water!

Sincerely,
Mike Estrin
