Lake Vermilion Fishing Report – East End
The walleye bite is variable day to day with some days being a struggle to get enough fish for a meal and the next day they are practically jumping in the boat. Worms and leeches are still working the best on Lindy rigs and spinners with bottom bouncers on the reefs in Frazier Bay and Big Bay.
The may flies have had very strong hatches again this past week, but they should be over soon.
Muskie fishing has been great on both ends of the lake. Keep an eye on the moon phases to make sure you are out there during the key times.
Bass fishing has been a little tougher as the fish transition to the deeper structure. Early mornings seem to be best for bass fishing lately.
