Lake Vermilion Fishing Report – West End

Walleyes can be found in the wind-blown bays and points at breaklines, using Lindy rigs.  Bait – 1st choice minnows, 2nd choice leeches or crawlers.  Rapalas are also good in the shallows in early morning or evenings.

Limits are being caught periodically.

Bobber fishing is still producing fish on rock piles from 8-20 ft, with leeches the best choice.

Also, the small mouth fishing is pretty active using plastics or live bait.
